San Jacinto is a small town (villa) in the Canelones Department of southern Uruguay. It is located on the intersection of Route 7 with Route 11, about 53 kilometres (33 mi) northeast of the centre of Montevideo. Its status was elevated to "Villa" category on 27/6/1951 by decree Ley No. 11.689.[1]
In 2004, San Jacinto had a population of 3,909.[2]
